About Us

The Agricultural Safety and Health eXtension Community of Practice (CoP) is a collaborative effort between universities, industry, and government to provide user-friendly information for the general rural population, agricultural producers, and agricultural safety and health professionals. Financial support for this project is provided by the United State Department of Agriculture, National Institute of Food and Agriculture; eXtension; and CHS Inc.

The Ag Safety and Health CoP has more than 90 members that work together to provide, produce, and review agricultural safety and health information. The following information provides an overview of the site content and links to usable resources.

Safety in Agriculture for Youth (SAY)
The SAY Project is a USDA supported collaboration among the University of Nebraska, Pennsylvania State University, Utah State University, and Ohio State University. One of the goals of the SAY Project is to build and maintain a clearinghouse of national youth farm and education curricula and resources for use by youth educators and trainers. The SAY National Clearinghouse offers a listing of free and fee-based curricula and supporting resources in a variety of electronic formats. Where applicable, alignment of each curriculum to Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources (AFNR) Career Cluster Content Standards related to agricultural safety and health is indicated, to help educators fulfill their curriculum requirements.
